We finished installing the new bookshelves yesterday, which involved moving the old Ikea ones to the opposite wall (the one that’s so warped you can’t hope to attach any kind of shelves to it), a wonderful occasion to pause and wonder just when we’d found the time to buy so many books and squeeze them into so little space.
Four hundred and fifty books, rounded down, fighting for space in a 30-square-metres flat. Most of them were bought during the past three years, given that older purchases are still crammed in our respective family homes. Needless to say, a significant fraction have never been read.
What about you? How many books have you managed to accumulate so far?
